ABOUT CAMPUS

By the school’s founder, Dr Jagdish & Bharti Gandhi, , CMS Aliganj Campus I is deemed to be one of the premier institutions of the country.

City Montessori School, Aliganj campus I was established on 30 June 1993 by the school’s founders, Drs Jagdish and Bharti Gandhi. Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon is the President and MD of City Montessori Schools. CMS Aliganj Campus I is ably led by its Senior Principal, Mrs Jyoti Kashyap and Principal, Mrs Shivani Singh. The Campus provides education from Montessori to K-12 level (ISC) in Science and Commerce streams in the ICSE section.

A new Cambridge section affiliated to Cambridge International Education has been introduced for classes I to VII this year. There are 210 well qualified staff members and more than 7200 students in the campus. It has large well ventilated classrooms, spacious, well stocked and catalogued libraries, well equipped laboratories for conducting practical in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Computers, an Olympic sized swimming pool, a huge playground & an infirmary.

The new building of the campus was inaugurated on 4th July 2012. There are 123 interactive classrooms with digital white boards which make teaching-learning process an enjoyable one. ERP system is being followed for computerized records of the school database. There is a separate section for senior students for preparation of competitive engineering exams.

The Campus organizes the International Festival of Music and Dance “Celesta” every alternate year with the aim of promoting cross–cultural interactions between children of various countries of the world on a global platform with an array of competitions in music and dance.

As a part of its social responsibility, the campus organises various activities to spread awareness about water and energy conservation not only among its students and staff members but also in the society. We sensitize the students to care for the stray animals, poor and downtrodden, and celebrate all festivals with great zeal. The students have joined hands to contribute in the literacy campaign “Each one-Teach one” wherein they are required to teach underprivileged children. The Junior Youth Empowerment Programme (JYEP) & other Community service programs conducted in the campus help in broadening the outlook of the students and serve the society in a better way.
